West Coast Energy - Nigg Wind Energy

Further Information

Atmos Consulting LTd has been in consultation with Highland Council and statutory consultees such as Scottish Natural Heritage, Highlands and Islands Airports and SEPA following the submission of the planning application in early 2008. The various consultations have led to the production of a new volume of 'Supplementary Environmental Information' (SEI) which was submitted to Highland Council for public consultation in May 2010.   At the request of Highland Council a new set of visualisations are presented along with the results of further ornithological reports and assessment.  A number of other issues are addressed including an update on planning policy, cultural heritage, hydrology and air pollution, the proposed borrow pit and transport.

The full document can be viewed HERE

As occured with the original application hard copies of the SEI will be made available at:

  • The Highland Council, Achany Road, Dingwall
  • The Highland Council, Glenurquhart Road, Inverness
  • Nigg Community Hall, Pitcalnie
  • Seaboard Memorial Hall, Balintore
